September 2004 Meeting Information

September 14, 2004
Technical Overview of JAMES

The Java Apache Mail Enterprise Server (JAMES) is a 100% pure Java enterprise server developed by the Apache Group that is both portable and secure. Complex e-mail processing tasks can be accomplished through the built-in Mailet API. This API allows the developer to build processing applications with built-in or user-defined mailets and matchers. This presentation will be an overview of JAMES (including a quick review of how e-mail works) and a source code review of a small application that utilizes the JavaMail API to send e-mail through JAMES.

Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad second floor meeting hall starting promptly at 7:30pm. Meetings are open to the public, and visitors are encouraged to join ACGNJ.
